Purple Star Designation
The Purple Star Award for military-friendly schools recognizes schools that show a major commitment to students and families connected to our nation’s military.
The Purple Star Advisory Board, formed by the Ohio departments of Education, Higher Education, Veterans Services and the Adjutant General selected South Gallia Middle/High School as a Purple Star designee.
South Gallia Purple Star: Supporting Active Military Families
In an effort to better support students who have an active military member in their immediate family, South Gallia Middle/High School works to identify these Purple Star families and support them in their classrooms and schools. In addition, our school hosts various special events throughout the year to connect these families with one another and the South Gallia community. Purple Star families are encouraged to contact the military liaison for their child's school with any questions.
